As more and more talk and propaganda of Smart Cities comes into the open, the clinical, cold look and feel of it dressed up as some kind of futuristic paradise, I wonder how many of us will feel pushed to go the way of this woman.
In an ideal world, there would be balance. We would live in such natural houses with technology but sadly, those in positions in society seem to be at war with Nature. Sure, they will pretend they are into nature with perfectly manicured parks and natural areas within cities but so extreme are they, they have lost touch with the rawness and beauty of untouched nature - the kind where this woman lives.
To let go of almost all technology and live this way is very appealing at this point. Sure, I would miss some of the benefits of technology I've got accustomed to but could I do it? I reckon so. You don't have to be born in the country to understand Nature because it is what we are, it is within us. Nature is a teacher, it will look after you if you let it. So there is nothing to fear about living this way. When faced with the option of living the rest of my days in these Smart Cities they are proposing or living like this woman, its an easy decision. Technology was only supposed to be an assistance, an addition to life. You can live without technology, you would go insane without Nature because it is what we are. It is The Source and I can never forget that.
